See what the world is searching for right now

Google Trends Today lists the searches that are climbing fastest in a country at this moment, the same data shown on the "Trending now" page of Google Trends. Pick a country and you get each topic with its approximate number of searches, a picture, how long ago it started trending and the news stories behind it. Use the filter to find a topic, open a story, or search the topic on Google with one click.

    Who it is for

    • Publishers and bloggers who want to cover a story while interest is rising, not after it peaks.
    • SEO and content teams looking for fresh angles, seasonal spikes and new questions people ask.
    • Social media managers who join conversations early and plan posts around live events.
    • Online shops and marketers who watch for sudden demand around products, launches, sports and holidays.

    Reading the list

Topics are ordered as Google ranks them. The traffic badge is a rounded estimate such as 50,000+ searches; a large number for a fresh topic means the spike is strong. The time shows when the topic started trending. News links lead to the original publishers, and the Explore link opens the topic in Google Trends so you can see its curve and related queries.

Trending searches change quickly, so check back several times a day, and compare countries to see whether a story is local or global. Download the list as CSV to keep a daily record for content planning.

    Frequently asked questions

Where does the data come from?

From the public trending searches feed that Google Trends publishes for each country. It lists searches that are rising sharply right now, with an approximate search volume and related news stories.

How often is the list updated?

Google refreshes the feed through the day. This page keeps a copy for up to 30 minutes so it loads quickly; press Refresh after that to see newer topics. The time of the copy is shown above the list.

What does the traffic number mean?

It is Google's rounded estimate of how many searches the topic has had recently, such as 20,000+ or 1,000,000+. It shows scale and momentum, not an exact count, and it is not the same as keyword volume in ad tools.

Why is my country not listed?

The page offers the countries for which Google publishes a trending feed and that we have tested. If a feed is missing for a country, Google does not provide one at the moment.

How can I use trending searches for SEO?

Trends show topics with sudden demand. News sites and blogs can publish timely coverage, shops can spot seasonal spikes early, and marketers can join conversations while they are growing. For long-term planning, compare terms in the Google Trends explore view.
